There are a lot of web sites and articles talking about how smoking marijuana is less harmful or not harmful to those that use the drug. These articles only tell one side of the story. The rest of the story needs to be told and this is where we need your help. Not only is there the proven negative health issues and societal issues in regards to marijuana use, there are the problems this drug causes its users, their significant others, their families and, most heart wrenching, their children. Most everyone knows of situations where marijuana has caused problems in people's lives. Whether it is your personal experience or an experience you know about or have been told about, we need your help. There are too many young people entertaining the use of, or using marijuana. We need to give them some information that will help them make the best decision for themselves, their families, their future and society as a whole. If these young people hear real life STORIES that have negatively affected individuals at all ages and walks of life, they might make a decision to turn away from marijuana and focus on what will bring them and their families a productive and happy life. Please fill out the SURVEY. It will help us to gather information to counter the misinformation that is readily available to anyone that has Internet access. Your information will be kept confidential. None of your personal information is required to have your story shared with others. Your story will be reviewed and if accepted posted on our web site. We will not be making any changes to the story you submit. Please submit your story or stories ASAP. It might help change the life of someone that is making an important decision right now. PROPOSITION 19 has a lot of supporters, mostly those that smoke marijuana or get financial gain from its distribution. There are also a lot of influential people that oppose Proposition 19. These are listed for you on this site. Even those that might be in favor of adults having the right to use marijuana think that this is a bad law. Regardless, we feel the message sent to our youth that marijuana is OK is the most devastating part of the legalization of pot. Our future is our youth and if we have a large number of them that smoke pot we will lose many of them to marijuana and other drugs. They will lose their ambition, not attain their potential and hurt those around us. The cost of losing even one of our youth to this drug is more costly then any taxes that could be gained from legalizing marijuana. Marijuana is addictive. If it was not, why are there addiction centers throughout the state that deal with pot smokers that want or need to quit? There is HELP for those that want to quit and their families that have been harmed by their loved one's use of marijuana. Reading the stories will give the other side of the story and hopefully help those that are using, or entertaining the use of marijuana, a perspective on what they have to lose by using this drug. There are links and RESEARCH that will help you get more information about marijuana. These links are articles that talk about the harm and problems marijuana is to its users and the community as a whole. If you find some interesting articles that would help us tell the other side of the story please forward them to us. We want to keep this site up-to-date and fresh with new research and information. Finally we hope that you will take the time to look this site over and share it with any friends you think it could help. Every life is important and of value to themselves and the people around them. Take the time to show people that we care about them and we like them in a sober state better than lost to a drug that wants to change them, not only while they use marijuana, but it wants to change their lives forever and for the worse.
